Among the various meetings for Prayer, Bible Study and Fellowship at Huntington Methodist Church is the Wednesday Afternoon Fellowship. Following a Lay Witness Weekend in May 1986 it was decided to start a House Group to meet alternate Wednesday afternoons.

This still continues and presently has about twelve members. Except in the first few weeks of its existence it has met at the home of Mary Garbutt. There is a devotional opening (shared by members) a Bible reading followed by discussion to seek it's relevance for today. Then there is discussion on matters concerning Church members and the community in general, this leads to prayer. Conversation continues over a cup of tea.

It is an enjoyable hour to which all are welcome.
